Description of the material

Anyone who wants to do yoga with children will find seventeen materials in this XXL package to bring poses, stories, and little rituals into the classroom, gym, and children's room. Drawn children show poses on cards and posters from the tree to the bridge, alone, at the chair, or in pairs. In six movement stories, the children become a caterpillar, dolphin, or star, with an audio version and video available upon request. Dice, weekly plans, yoga breaks for the projector, and an Advent calendar bring a few quiet minutes into everyday life every day. Most of it is suitable for primary school, while the picture cards and yoga breaks are also suitable for lower secondary school.

Usage options in class

Chair yoga cards, yoga breaks on the projector, or standing dice yoga can fill a short break in the classroom, as everyone stays at their desk.

Designed as stations in the gym, the partner cards invite trying things out in pairs, and a yoga story can end the lesson with a quiet conclusion.

The mini yoga plan or the Advent calendar can make yoga a daily ritual, in class or at home.

Learning objectives and skills promoted

  • Balance: holding poses such as tree, stork, or one-legged scale
  • Flexibility: stretching and lengthening with the bridge, cobra, or cat
  • Cooperation: holding and supporting each other in partner poses such as the wheelbarrow
  • Listening and relaxing: finding the right pose at the right place in the stories and calming down

Differentiation

Anyone who is still unsure can start with sitting poses or use the chair as support. Partner poses such as airplane or superhero require more balance.

The Quiet and Relaxation Break also brings quiet moments to class, while the 54 Stretches show further exercises for stretching.

Have fun trying it out and enjoy many relaxed yoga moments!
