Description of the material

The mini yoga plan is a weekly plan that features a short sequence of illustrated children's yoga poses for each day. Day by day, children can imitate poses such as owl, cat, tree, or bridge according to the pictures and check off the completed day in the "Check" column.

What is included in the material

  • Yoga Plan 1 with mixed poses such as boat, bow, dolphin, or butterfly
  • Yoga Plan 2 with a chair, whose poses such as climb, seated twist, or elevator are performed with a chair
  • Yoga Plan 3 standing with poses such as stork, half moon, or bat
  • Weekly versions of each plan from Monday to Friday and from Monday to Sunday
  • Usage instructions with suggestions for use in school and at home

Tips for using the material

  • As a classroom ritual: The plan can be hung up in the classroom so that a yoga session can take place every day, for example as a movement break.
  • At home with parents: Children can do a session together with their parents every day, for example before going to bed.
  • As active homework: At the beginning of the week, the plan can be handed out to the learners, who can then do a short yoga session every day in addition to their usual homework.

These skills are promoted

  • Balance in poses on one leg such as tree or stork
  • Flexibility through poses such as bridge, bow, cat, or triangle
  • Implementing movements according to pictures by imitating the drawn poses

To complement this, there are Chair Yoga Cards, Yoga Picture Cards, and a Yoga Poster for the Classroom and Home.
