Rules in Physical Education: 25+ Picture Cards for Grades 1–10

These picture cards show the rules for physical education for the entire lesson, from meeting before the gym to showering afterwards. Each rule is written as a short sentence under a drawing, such as "We are a team!" or "When the teacher whistles, we meet in a circle." This allows the children to recognize them in the picture as well.

Tips for using the material

• Choose the appropriate version: For some rules, there are several cards, for example, hand signs or a whistle as a signal and a circle or meeting point as a gathering place. This allows the cards to be selected that suit your own procedures.
• Determine consequences: For unfair behavior, the red card or a penalty task can be chosen, for forgotten sports gear a lesson log or an extra task.
• Organizational cards in the gym: The organizational cards can be used for visual support in the gym or displayed, for example, at the storage area for water bottles.

• Knowing and following rules regarding sports clothing, meeting points and the teacher's signals
• Fairness and respect, such as accepting a defeat and stopping playing when "Stop!" is called
• Self-organization when packing the sports bag, changing clothes and putting down the water bottle
