Memory Run for Kids: In the Christmas Bakery for Physical Education

This Memory Run for kids is a relay race centered around Christmas baking, in which each team fills an empty baking sheet with cookies. One by one, the children run to the full baking sheet and take a cookie. They must remember where it is located on the full sheet, run back to the start, and place it in the same spot on the empty sheet. The team that completes and correctly arranges its sheet first wins the round.

What is included in the materials

Tips for using the materials

• As a relay: At the signal of the game leader, one child from each group can start running; the next team member may start as soon as they are back behind the starting line.
• With slalom or obstacles: A slalom or obstacle course can be set up along the route.
• Everyone at once: In one variation, all team members can run at the same time.
• One more round: Anyone who wants to play again can print out the additional templates and continue playing with the newly arranged cookies.

Organizational notes

In addition to the templates, cones are required. Each team receives an empty sheet on its side; opposite them, there is a full sheet and the cookie cards for each group. One round takes approximately 5 to 15 minutes.
