Zoo Animals / Zoo Animals: Educational Lotto for English Lessons

In Education Lotto, children playfully review zoo animals in primary school English lessons. One child draws a picture card and names the animal in English. The others check their bingo card and cross off the square if they have the animal. The first person to cross off all the squares wins.

Tips for using the material

• It is recommended to play in small groups of two to six children; each group gets a sheet of bingo cards.
• For drawing, the cards can be placed in a bag or shuffled and dealt face down on the table.
• It makes sense to draw in turns: After each card, the next child takes a turn.

• Vocabulary: recall and reinforce English names of zoo animals
• Speaking: name the animal on the drawn picture card in English
• Listening comprehension: understand the named word and match it to the picture on your own bingo card
