Description of the material

With these clip cards, children practice English words for shapes such as triangle, rhombus, or hexagon. On each card, they attach a binder clip or clothespin to the correct one of three English words and then check their answer themselves by turning the card over.

This is included in the material

  • 20 clip cards, each showing one shape and offering three English words to choose from, including geometric shapes such as kite, ellipse, or octagon, as well as heart, arrow, and check mark
  • Instructions describing how to print the cards, fold them backwards along the markings at the edge, and laminate them, and how the children can work with them

Tips for using the material

The cards are ideal for station work and remedial lessons because the children can work with them independently.

These skills are promoted

  • Vocabulary: recognize the English names of 20 shapes and match them to the correct shape
  • Reading: read English words carefully to choose the correct one from three words

More materials on 2D shapes are available as Vocabulary Cards, Memo Game, Bingo, and Vocabulary Quiz.
