Description of the material

On this worksheet, children write the corresponding number word next to brightly designed numbers, once in German and once in English. This helps them learn and reinforce the Numbers in primary school English lessons while also practicing writing number words.

What is included in the material

  • Brief explanation: what the worksheet is about and what the children will practice
  • “Label the pictures” worksheet: colorful numbers from zero to thirty-one, as well as forty, fifty, sixty, and seventy, with a box next to each for the German and English number words, plus lines for the name and date
  • Answers: all pages with the German and English number words filled in

Tips for using the material

  • The example on the first page is helpful: zero is already labeled “null” and “zero,” so children can immediately see what goes in the German and English boxes.

These skills are promoted

  • Vocabulary: match English number words to numbers and memorize them
  • Writing: write English number words correctly, including hyphens, such as twenty-five

To complement this, there are additional materials on the topic: Labeling pictures with number words, Matching English–German number words, Number words with translations for repetition, and a progress check on the same vocabulary.
