Description of the material

On this worksheet, the children write the corresponding English number word under each colorful digit. This helps them learn and reinforce the Numbers in primary school English lessons.

What is included in the material

  • Worksheet “Label the pictures.” for the numbers from zero to thirty-one: one version with a word bank and one version without a word bank, which additionally includes the tens up to seventy
  • Answers for both versions
  • Teacher’s information page on the task and differentiation

Tips for using the material

  • The material offers both versions for different learning levels: With the word bank, the children find the correct number word and copy it; without the word bank, they write it themselves.
  • The example at the beginning is helpful: The first digit is already labeled “zero” on both versions.

These skills are promoted

  • Vocabulary: learn and reinforce English number words
  • Writing: spell number words correctly, including with a hyphen, such as twenty-one
  • Matching: connect the digit with the English number word

To complement this, there is another labeling worksheet, a worksheet on which the children write number words in German and English, and a mini-test on the same vocabulary.
