Description of the material

An image with the term on the front, the corresponding translation on the back: that's how our English vocabulary cards on clothes for primary school work. The children can practice the clothing words in both directions, from T-shirt to sun hat. Because the cards use British English, pants are called trousers and a sweater is called a jumper. Bundled with a rubber band, the stack of cards can go home or along on trips. This helps to reinforce the words over a longer period of time.

What's included:

  • Vocabulary cards with a picture and word
  • Back sides with the translation
  • Cards with ticks and crosses
  • Instructions for printing and assembling the cards

Uses in English lessons

In class, the children can practice the new words with the cards and review them again and again later. The cards are also suitable for homework because the answer is always on the back.

Learning objectives and skills promoted

  • Vocabulary: learn and review English terms for clothing
  • Translation: match German and English words together
  • Independent learning: practice and check vocabulary alone with the cards

To complement them, there are the Word and Picture Cards and the Vocabulary Mini Test.

Have fun trying them out and testing your knowledge!
