Clothes / Clothing: Don’t say it! for English class

How do you explain trousers without saying pockets, long or jeans? That is exactly what this Clothes Charades Game for Primary School English requires: Each card shows a piece of clothing along with three forbidden words. Gestures, translations and variations of the word do not count either, so only English is allowed. If your team guesses the word before time runs out, it gets a point. This way, the children get talking in the process and expand their vocabulary around clothing.

Ways to use it in English lessons

You can divide the class into two or three teams, from which one child comes to the front and explains in turns. After one minute, it is the next team's turn, and the team with the most points after the agreed rounds wins. The game is best suited when the words are already known, for example towards the end of a unit.
