Description of the material

What has short sleeves and is worn all year round? On these English riddle cards about clothes for primary school, each piece of clothing describes itself in one or two simple sentences. The children listen to or read the description and guess what is meant. The answer is at the bottom of each card, so it is quickly clear whether they guessed correctly. At the same time, they learn words used to describe clothes, such as for a zipper, collar, or buttons.

This is included:

  • Riddle cards with description and answer
  • Usage tips

You can read the cards to the class, and whoever recognizes the piece of clothing says the English word. In pairs, the children can also ask each other the riddles. A few cards are also suitable as a short warm-up at the beginning of the lesson.
