Description of the material

I have..., who has...? is a chain game that children use in English class to review the English names of shapes such as triangle, rhombus, hexagon, or heart. Whoever has the requested shape on their card answers with “I have...” and asks the next question with “Who has...?” until the game ends with the final card.

This is included in the material

  • 18 game cards from the starting card to the final card, showing 17 shapes and symbols such as octagon, ellipse, kite, or cross as pictures and asking “Who has...?”
  • Game instructions with example cards showing the sequence

Tips for using the material

The game is ideal as a warm-up at the start of the lesson, a wrap-up, or a quick break in between.

These skills are promoted

  • Vocabulary: Children associate the picture of a shape with its English name.
  • Listening and speaking: Children listen to each question to see if they have the requested shape and answer with a fixed English sentence.
