Description of the material

The mini home workout is a short movement break for primary school children that requires neither equipment nor much space. During short study breaks or after an intensive study session, children can burn off their pent-up energy with just a few exercises – the entire workout takes only a few minutes.

What is included in the material

  • Instructions explaining how the mini workout works and how each exercise is presented with its name, an illustration, and the number of repetitions
  • Workout overview featuring jumping jacks, high knees, high knees with bent knees, bicycle crunches, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups, each with an illustration – once without and once with repetition counts
  • Overview of additional exercises such as shoulder circles, star jumps, reaching & stretching, hands to the floor, heel stands, standing balance, and flamingo, also with illustrations

Tips for using the material

  • By time: Each exercise can be performed for 30 to 45 seconds.
  • By repetitions: Alternatively, a specific number of repetitions can be set for each exercise; the overview with repetition counts provides them directly.

These skills are promoted

  • Strength through squats, push-ups, and sit-ups
  • Endurance through jumping jacks, high knees, and high knees with bent knees
  • Balance during heel stands, standing balance, and flamingo
