Description of the material

Here you will find classroom rules as a poster and as worksheets for the classroom. The rules are short sentences such as “We listen to each other and let each other speak!”, each with a picture. They range from raising your hand and working quietly to tidiness and punctuality, as well as friendly behavior and resolving conflicts through conversation. All the rules are visible at a glance on the poster, and on the worksheets with the same pictures, the learners can write the appropriate rule for each picture themselves.

What is included in the material

  • “Our Classroom Rules” poster with all the rules and pictures, as a grid and as a two-column list
  • Worksheets with pictures: the pictures of the rules, with lines for writing next to them
  • Worksheets without prompts: numbered, empty boxes with lines for writing

Tips for using the material

  • With or without an additional sentence: The poster can be used in either layout with the sentence “I treat others the way I want to be treated.”
  • Your own classroom rules: Your own classroom rules can be entered into the numbered boxes.
