Description of the material

This PowerPoint quiz template is a quiz game for two teams that you can fill with your own questions and answers. On the game board, the teams can take turns choosing a point field in a category – the higher the score, the harder the question. Because all slides are linked to each other, the game master can switch from the point field to the question, then to the answer, and back to the game board with a click. In the end, the team that has collected more points wins.

What is included in the material

  • Game board with categories and point fields
  • Question slides with a text box for your own question and a countdown, organized by category
  • Answer slides with a text box for the corresponding answer
  • Instructions on the course of the game and how to edit the slides

Tips for using the material

  • Arrangement in the room: The participants can spread out in the room so that they can communicate well within their teams.
  • Question and countdown: The game master can read out the question and then click "Start" – the team then has one minute to answer.
  • Answer in the team: The team members can consult with each other, and a previously designated person gives the answer.
  • Second chance: If the answer is wrong, the other team can answer the question.
  • Score: The points can be kept track of on the board, for example.
  • Your own design: Buttons and backgrounds can be customized and the countdown removed; however, the links should be preserved.

These skills are promoted

  • Retrieving knowledge about the questions that have been entered into the template
  • Answering quickly under time pressure due to the countdown
  • Consultation in the team, because the group discusses the answer together

To match this, there is another interactive PowerPoint template for use in the classroom as well as draw cards with colors, numbers or symbols, with which the teams can be drawn for the quiz.
