Toys / Games: Running Dictation (English)

A running dictation is an interactive and exciting method for practicing vocabulary. The goal is to memorize words and then write them down correctly.

Instructions:

1. Select the vocabulary words to be practiced. Hang the cards in different places around the classroom. Then, give each child a worksheet on which they will write down the vocabulary words.
2. At the teacher's signal, all children quietly sneak to a card, read it, and try to memorize the vocabulary word.
3. Then, they quietly return to their seats and write down the vocabulary word correctly.
4. Next, they go to the next card.
5. The activity ends when all children have written down all the words.

Rules:

• No copying is allowed.
• No one may speak or read aloud.
• Everyone works at their own pace.
