Pizza: Matching Circle (English)

A matching circle is a creative and hands-on method to reinforce vocabulary in language lessons in a playful way. Children actively engage with new words by matching the appropriate terms and images to each other. This not only helps them review vocabulary but also deepens their understanding and helps them learn words in context.

You can simply print, laminate, and cut out the template. You will receive the material as a PDF and PowerPoint file.

Instructions:

Place all the cards (e.g. word – image – description) in a random order on the floor or a large table.
The children work individually, in pairs, or in small groups. The goal is to match the cards to form complete sets and arrange them in a circle.
Once all the matches have been checked, the completed matching circle can be discussed together.
