Description of the material

Working together at the interactive whiteboard in primary school English class, this Vocabulary Quiz helps children practice the Numbers from zero to nineteen. For a given digit, they choose the correct English number word and hold up their answer at the same time using a card. Similar words such as four and fourteen are often placed directly next to each other as options.

What is included in the material

  • Instructions: a brief description of how the quiz works
  • Answer cards A, B, C and D to print
  • First quiz: task slides with a digit and four English number words to choose from, each with an answer slide showing the correct answer marked
  • Second quiz “What is that?”: slides where only the digit appears first, followed by the corresponding English number word

Tips for using the material

  • It is recommended to display each slide and read the task aloud.
  • It is helpful to give the children a few seconds to think after reading the task aloud and then count down from three to zero.
