Lucky Symbols / Glückssymbole: Matching Circle (English)
A matching circle is a creative and hands-on method to reinforce vocabulary in language lessons in a playful way. Children actively engage with new words by matching the appropriate terms and images to one another. This not only reinforces vocabulary but also deepens understanding and helps children learn words in context.
Simply print, laminate, and cut out the template. The material is available as a PDF and PowerPoint file.
Instructions:
- Place all the cards (e.g. word – image – description) in a random order on the floor or a large table.
- The children work individually, in pairs, or in small groups. The goal is to match the cards to create complete sets and arrange them in a circle.
- Once all the matches have been checked, the completed matching circle can be discussed together.
