The small talk cards are a fun way to make English lessons more lively and to improve speaking skills. They are particularly useful for starting a lesson, encouraging learners to speak and helping them to use and expand their existing vocabulary. The cards can be used in pairs (partner work) or in small groups.
You will receive the cards as PDF, PowerPoint and Keynote files and can customize them as needed.
How does it work?
The learners take turns drawing a card from the face-down stack and answering the question. This helps develop not only free-speaking skills, but also listening skills and the ability to formulate creative answers.
