The smalltalk cards are a fun way to make English lessons more lively and to improve speaking skills. They are particularly well suited as a warm-up for a lesson to encourage learners to speak and to help them use and expand their existing vocabulary. The cards can be used both in pairs (partner work) and in small groups.
You receive the cards as PDF, PowerPoint, and Keynote files and can customize them as you wish.
How does it work?
The learners take turns drawing a card from the face-down pile and answering the question asked. This develops not only free speaking, but also listening and formulating creative answers.
