Cleaning / Putzen: Matching Circle for English Class

With this circle layout, children match English words for cleaning such as broom, sponge or vacuum cleaner to the corresponding pictures and short English descriptions and arrange the matching cards in a circle.

This is included in the material

• Circle layout with descriptions consisting of 12 circle segments, each divided into a word, a picture and a description card, plus the "CLEANING" center circle
• Circle layout without descriptions with the same 12 words, whose circle segments are only divided into word and picture cards, also with a center circle
• Instructions with the procedure and group formats

Tips for using the material

• Layout: The cards can be placed randomly on the floor or on a large table, and the children can work on them individually, in pairs or in small groups.
• Discuss together: Once all connections have been checked, it is a good idea to discuss the completed circle layout together.

• Vocabulary of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment such as bucket, dustpan or washing-up liquid
• Reading comprehension, because the children read short English sentences such as "I can absorb water and wipe dirt and grime away." and match them to the correct object
