Autumn: Bingo for the English Classroom

Autumn Bingo is a bingo game for English lessons in which children hear English autumn words such as pumpkin, hedgehog or raincoat and cross off the corresponding picture on their bingo card. One child draws a vocabulary card from a bag and reads the word aloud, and whoever has completely crossed off a row, column or diagonal shouts “Bingo” as quickly as possible.

This is included in the material

• Game instructions explaining the course of the game and a quick version in which the game leader reads the terms directly from the printed template
• 20 vocabulary cards with a picture and English word, which are cut out for drawing and laminated if necessary
• 32 bingo cards with nine squares, on which the autumn pictures are shown in a different arrangement each time
• 32 bingo cards with 16 squares, each showing 16 of the 20 pictures without words in a different arrangement

• Vocabulary: 20 English words related to autumn, from apple and chestnut to sweater and potato
• Listening comprehension, because the children match the read-aloud word to the corresponding picture on their card
• Reading and pronunciation, when a child reads the drawn word aloud
