Description of the material

On this worksheet, children label shapes in English and German by writing the English and German words for each picture. In addition to basic shapes such as circle, square and rectangle, polygons up to the decagon and shapes such as heart, arrow or check mark are also included.

This is included in the material

  • Instruction page briefly explaining the task and its objective
  • 2 worksheets, each with 12 shapes and columns for the German and English words, for a total of 24 shapes; on the first, the triangle is filled in as an example
  • Answers for both worksheets, with the English word and the German word with its article

These skills are promoted

  • Vocabulary: the English names of flat shapes and symbols
  • Writing, because the children write down each word themselves
