Description of the material

The “Everyone Who!” game is an active game centered around the children’s holiday experiences, designed for the start of school after the summer holidays. In a circle of chairs or seated participants, the game leader makes a statement such as “Everyone who ate an ice cream during the summer holidays.” Anyone who has done so jumps up and finds an empty seat, while a child in the middle tries to claim one for themselves. This allows the children to share their experiences playfully while getting active.

What is included

  • Instruction sheet with game idea and instructions
  • Cards with illustrated “Everyone who …” statements about summer experiences, from building sandcastles to camping and sitting around a campfire
  • Overview showing all statements at a glance

Tips for using the material

  • Changing seats: It is important that no one can return to their own seat; anyone who cannot find a seat stays in the middle for the next round.
  • A child as game leader: Alternatively, the child without a seat can read out a card or think up an experience themselves.
  • Game duration: The game can be continued for as long as desired and thus easily adapted to the available time.

These skills are promoted

  • Listening carefully and deciding whether a statement applies to oneself
  • Quick reflexes when jumping up and claiming an empty seat
  • Moving in a group by changing seats in the circle

Other editions are available after the Easter holidays and after the autumn holidays; the active game “Stand up if …” about the summer holidays is also suitable for the same occasion.
