Description of the material

The Summer Holiday Challenge is a list of small tasks that children can complete during the summer holidays. Sometimes it involves climbing, swinging, or doing a handstand on the grass, and other times visiting a new place, eating an ice cream, or simply catching up on sleep.

What is included in the material

  • Summer Holiday Challenge as a list of summer holiday tasks, each to be completed once
  • Additional Challenges as additional lists in the same format with different tasks

Tips for using the material

  • Ticking off: Next to each task is a circle where children can tick off what they have already completed.

These skills are promoted

  • Physical activity through tasks such as doing push-ups on a park bench, jumping into the water, or riding a bike and scooter
  • Independence in everyday life through tasks such as tidying their room or watering flowers
  • Outdoor experiences through tasks such as feeding birds, walking in the sun, or blowing bubbles

To complement this, there is a Summer Holiday Bingo for the start of school, a template for reflecting on the holidays, and a travel game for the holidays.
