Shaving Foam Pictures for Winter (Craft Instructions)

With this material, your students will playfully dive into the art of marbling and create unique shaving foam artworks. 

In the package you will find: 

• creative winter templates
• step-by-step instructions

Here’s how – step by step:

• Preparation: First, your students cut out the stencils and transfer the designs onto cardstock. Then they carefully cut out the designs.
• Create the marbling base: Spray a thin layer of shaving foam into a shallow tray.
• Add color: Drop different tempera paints onto the shaving foam.
• Create patterns: Using the back of a brush, your students gently swirl the paint until beautiful, unique patterns emerge.
• Press and lift: Your students press their paper design into the colored shaving foam, lift it out again, and scrape off the excess foam with a squeegee.
• Let dry: Let the artworks dry thoroughly, and the unique winter pictures are finished!

Your students will learn and practice:

• Fine motor skills: They will improve their dexterity when cutting, transferring, and working precisely with a brush and squeegee.
• Creativity & color understanding: They will experiment with colors, mix them, and discover how unique marbling patterns are created.
