Description of the material

With these waste separation signs, you can label the bins in the classroom. Each sign represents one bin and shows typical waste for it, from the yellow bin to paper, residual and organic waste, as well as hazardous waste and deposit items. This helps the children sort their waste into the correct bin.

What is included in the material

  • Signs with names and pictures for each bin, in colorful, beige, gray, and blue versions
  • Signs with explanations that briefly describe what goes into each bin and provide examples
  • Picture signs without text in color and in black and white

Tips for using the material

  • Show how to sort: With the signs with explanations, the children can check directly at the bin where things like yogurt cups, eggshells, or batteries belong.

These skills are promoted

  • Sort waste based on the picture and name of the bin
