Description of the material

Farm: Laying Circle (Teaching material for DaZ, DaF and German lessons)

A laying circle is a creative and action-oriented method to reinforce vocabulary in language lessons in a playful way. The children actively engage with new words by matching the appropriate terms and images to each other. In this way, the vocabulary is not only repeated, but also deepened and understood in context.

You can simply print, laminate and cut out the template. You receive the material as a PDF and PowerPoint.

Instructions:

  1. Lay all the cards (e.g. word – image – description) randomly on the floor or a large table.
  2. The children work individually, in pairs or in small groups. The goal is to connect the matching cards into a complete set and arrange them in a circle.
  3. Once all the connections have been checked, the completed laying circle can be discussed together.
